TOGS

Old Grammarians Society

About TOGS

The first Old Boys’ Association was formed in November 1919, and revived in 1985 after the move to the Shiphay site, with the first annual reunion held at the school in 1996.

TOGS aims:

  1. To maintain and foster Old Grammarians Society (TOGS), bringing members together in as many ways as possible, keeping them informed of the careers and achievements of fellow Torquinians, as well as about life and developments at the School;
  2. To promote and further the interests of the School whenever possible, ensuring its survival and continued success in financially and politically turbulent times, endeavouring to find new and imaginative ways in which we can work for the greater good of all involved in , past, present and future.
Join TOGS

It’s now even easier to join the ever-growing database of old boys, so we can better communicate and connect with you. The committee is seeking to increase its ability to directly contribute to the school and its students by having active members.

There are numerous benefits to membership:

  • Your nominal fee directly helps projects within the school;
  • Discount on annual reunion ticket;
  • Email updates on projects and TOGS news.

The TOGS committee meets regularly to discuss how it can help with school projects, student bursaries and planning the annual reunion dinner.

Reunion Dinner

Boys’ Grammar School and Girls’ Grammar School continue to join forces to celebrate the many friendships forged over the years between the two schools with an annual Grand Reunion Dinner. This is on the first Saturday in July, at Boys’ Grammar School. Details and tickets are available via the Whats-On page, when available.

Staying Connected

Email communications are sent out via our new membership website, to subscribed members: this way, you will hear the news first. .
